Alec Stock sits top of the pile most games managed with 21 games in the League Cup a trophy he won for QPR in 1967.

He also has the most wins (12), the most defeats (6) the most goals scored (48) and the most goals conceded (35).

Jim Smith had the next highest number of games with 19 winning 11 of them as he reachced the final in 1986.

The Manager with the highest win percentage is Iain Dowie who won every League Cup he managed before being sacked.

We then have 6 managers with a win% of 66.67. 5 of them won 2 of their 3 games in the League Cup which includes Marti Cifuentes, Jim Magilton, Steve McClaren, Steve Burtenshaw and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. 

Gerry Francis also has a 66.67% win percentage in his first spell as manager winning 10 of his 15 League Cup games as he reached the Last 16 twice. His second spell was slightly less successful, going out in the first round both seasons he was back in charge.

Gerry Francis and Jim Smith had the most clean sheets with 7 whilst Mark Warburton took part in the most penalty shootouts (4) winning 3 of them. 

Six Managers failed to win any League Cup games including current boss Julien Stephan which will hopefully change next season.
