Julien Stéphan
Julien was fast-tracked to the Rennes first-team in late 2018 where he achieved folklore status by guiding his hometown club to a dramatic 2019 Coupe de France triumph over Paris Saint-Germain. The victory broke a painful 48-year trophy drought and paved the way for the UEFA Champions League group stages.
A subsequent move to RC Strasbourg saw him achieve a sixth-place finish in Ligue 1—the club's highest league position in over four decades.
After a return to Rennes in 2023 he made the move to England in 2025 to take over at QPR where he had a good first season finishing 15th in the Championship after flirting with the playoffs before an injury crisis halted the teams progress in the second half of the season.
